Strava... What is Strava? Everything I do, well everything I do outside, when I remember, I track. Strava is the superset of it all. My Garmin syncs to Strava. My Bike computer syncs to Strava. Peloton syncs to Strava. It's all pretty cool.
Some quirks: Strava always subtracts 0.1 mile from my Garmin runs... Huh? Why. So I usuually run that much longer to get credit! Strava defaults to moving time, whereas Garmin defaults to total time. Both Strava and Garmin have pretty cool mobile and desktop interfaces. |

Strava gives out badges for amounts of workouts or consequitive workouts. At one point, I wanted to collect badges, so I started recording *all* my workouts ... like the inside ones (the gym) as well, but that was just killing my watch much more often. So now I just do outside stuff. I really want it for the route tracking, distance, elevation, time. That kind of stuff.
I wish it had more sorting methods. I was trying to count up all the Wachusett hikes I did, because I was documenting for the Redline patch and then I know I'm approaching 100 ascents, but I found it difficult to locate them all. Anyway, I'd love to take a peek at the software on both Garmin and Strava. I'm more critical of Garmin because it has more Heart Rate related stats that it doesn't seem to share with Strava... and I could and will do an entire post on Garmin and what I do and don't like about that...
But the entire reason I'm even writing this is that I found out that you could share your Strava Stats to your blog.... so here goes. Let's see if it works. These are actually only showing runs, not anything else. Will look into that later.
